All about the Full Day Peninsula Valdes.

Peninsula Valdes was granted World Heritage site status by Unesco in 1999 for its incredible wildlife.

This is a full-day tour, and along the day you will not only learn about this amazing natural area,

but also have the opportunity to observe the most extraordinary marine wildlife,

such as the Southern right whales (from June to December), elephant seals (from August to March), sea lions (all year) and Magellanic penguins (from September to April).

However, there is more! Our knowledgeable guides will help you find the most iconic terrestrial fauna:

guanacos (lama guanicoe), lesser rheas, Patagonian hare, grey fox and those that nature that day decides to show you, so you can shoot the best photos

  1. Pickup Arrival at Location

    Pick up from the designated place. The tour guide will contact you and you will arrange together the pickup time from your designated place.

  2. Road to Peninsula Lets start

    First stop at El desempeño (here we pay the entrance fee to the reserve). Next stop at the Visitor Center (use of toilets, gift shop, museum)

  3. At Puerto Piramides Puerto Piramides

    After a 30-minute drive we will arrive at Puerto Pirámides for Whale watching (this stop will be only during the whale season June to mid-December)

  4. At Caleta Visiting Caleta

    After driving for 1 1/2 hours we reach Caleta Valdes (stop to see penguins, during the month of Sept to April and elephant seals). After driving 40 minutes we arrive at Punta Norte (stop to observe a rookery of sea lions)

  5. Back to the Hotel Going back

    After the excursion you will Drive back to Puerto Madryn for 2 straight hours

  6. Notas please read

    All the driving will be on gravel except the first and last hour of the day. The route may vary according to the time of year as the wildlife moves from one place to another
